Felix Neuenschwander


Originally from Switzerland, Felix is a social anthropologist with Master of Arts in Social and Cultural Anthropology (subsidiary subjects Geography and English Literature), University of Zurich, Switzerland.

Felix has been working and living in Indonesia for more than two years. He has worked on issues of HIV/AIDS and sexual health with Yakeba Foundation in Bali and since late 2011 at Angsamerah Institution in Jakarta, where he is the project manager within the partnership division. Currently he manages a collaborative project between USAID and Angsamerah Foundation to establish a new sexual health clinic in South Jakarta. He values team-work, has good intercultural communication skills and excellent writing abilities. He has experience writing successful project proposals and research designs. 

His study track is strongly shaped and marked by many courses on general and specialized Medical Anthropology topics and on Indonesian and Southeast Asian anthropology and sociology including a wide range of current scientific themes. 

His main interests center around sexuality and health from a social and cultural perspective. He has qualitative research experience gained through 6 months field-research in Bali on Indonesian women, who are searching for sexual and other forms of intimate relationships with men from abroad. He fluently speaks the Indonesian language.
